THE OLDEST PLAYABLE HARPSICHORD

This anonymous Neapolitan harpsichord (ca. 1525) has been recently restored by John Koster, curator and conservator of keyboard instruments at the National Music Museum (NMM), one of the leading specialists in this field. 

He and the NMM's team have found in Catalina Vicens the perfect match of talented, skilled and expert performer in the 16th-century keyboard music literature. 

This recording will feature keyboard music from the early- to the last quarter of the 16th-century from Naples, Rome and Venice, including works published by Andrea Antico (1517), Marc' Antonio Cavazzoni (1523), Claudio Veggio, Antonio Valente (1576).
