If the “Neapolitan school” is part of our historical musical vocabulary, it is above all because its finest composers and artists exercised exceptional influence in courts and theatres all over Europe.

There are several reasons for this international success. 

The first is the excellence of the four music schools which, for nearly two centuries, trained young singers, composers and instrumentalists, offering them the best teachers and, most importantly, giving even those at the bottom of the social ladder an opportunity to make a name for themselves in the musical world.
