The MANN can boasts one of the most ancient Egyptian collection in Europe. 

The Museum's Egyptian Collection comprises some 2500 items dating from the beginning of the Dynastic era to the end of the Byzantine era. 

They were acquired through the acquisition of private collections, except for a group of Egyptian and Egyptianizing objects,
