THE SEA LILY

The sea lily is a plant that is part of the Liliaceae family, and its scientific name is Pancratium maritimum. It is also known as “lily of sea” or “sea irises”. 

This plant is typical of the coastal regions of the Mediterranean and is often found in sandy and brackish environments, such as coastal dunes.  

Sea lilies bloom during the summer and are particularly adapted to life in coastal environments.
